A Road Trip on the Townships Trail
Linking 31 towns and villages, the Trail follows the footsteps of the early settlers (Scots, Irish and Loyalists, as well as New Englanders) through the region’s natural and built heritage. Along the way you’ll find churches, museums, interpretation centres and covered bridges (yes, we have those too!) that speak of a bygone era. The region’s past is also manifested in its many heritage buildings – from brick Victorian mansions to clapboard-covered farmhouses with wraparound verandas.
