Bromont – the name of a town and a mountain – describes itself as “a happening community” and indeed that is an apt description. Throughout the year, it plays host to l’Été des Chefs at BALNEA (a cooking competition), and International Bromont, a prestigious equestrian event. The region is a mecca for sports and outdoor activities (golf, mountain biking, horseback riding, to name a few). A cycling trail links Bromont with the village of Sutton and for those who enjoy the “nectar of the gods”, Kava Tours sells a “passport”, giving access to vineyards along the Wine Route.
Bromont is also home to the upscale Domaine Château-Bromont (the dining room serves regional cuisine), several spas and art galleries, as well as a combined museum and Café de village, dedicated to all things chocolate.
Bromont is the site of an Olympic Velodrome where is presented the Equestrian Competition; International Bromont, which attracts riders from around the globe – a happening event indeed!
